Has anyone purchased a pair of the new New Dunlop Qualifier Q2 Sport multi compound tires yet? If so, what are your impressions of the tire performance?

After listening to Dano brag about how sticky his Dunlop Qualifer tires were I switched from Pilot Power 2CT's (still a good tire though) to a set of Dunlop Qualifiers.
I just got my tires on in June and now I saw that Dunlop released the Q2 in August (WTF!!), looks like I need to get some miles on...

ANYWAYS....a friend I work with says he's been enjoying these new Dunlops. He's also used the BT016's. Like Dano, I'll never be swayed to stop using the BT016's.....awesome tires.

Sorry to let you down. I know it should have been a real picture of my morning shit. I will try harder next time.![]()

I don't think you CAN try harder, bro. THis is the SHORTcoming (pun intended) of a genetically challenged little tiny gay midget out of work loser. Dam...Mommy had such plans for her baby...how could you disappoint her so?Originally Posted by APtech77
I like the BT016's alot, but man do I wear them out fast! - 1500 miles fast -
After reading about the Q2 in RRW, I'm tempted to give them a try. Depends on how much $$ really - I can get the 016's for $225 a set all day long...

Yeah the BT016's are a LITTLE soft. But if I rode like you I'd go through them way quicker too. Like you say, the BT016's have been pretty cheap these days and for the price you can't get a stickier street tire.Originally Posted by kartstar
After my ride in September I'm going to look at getting a ste of Q2's provided the cost is reasonable.
The data on the Q2's looks pretty good, I know how well the Qualifiers performed so I can't wait to try the Q2's.

Had a set of 016s on the track bike. They worked great for about a day and a half and then started to get a little slidey. A couple of other folks I talked to at the track had a similar experience.Originally Posted by kartstar
Roadracing World has an excellent review of the new Dunlops this month. Their conclusion is that they're excellent for abrasive tracks in hot weather. Sounds like the perfect Jennings tyre.
