    Shorai

I rode to NAPA today to pick up a 46mm socket to pull of the rear wheel. Didn't have one in stock, so I went out and got on the bike all boo boo lipped. hit the magic button and row-row-row-pooosh...If you have heard the sound, then seeing "row-row-row-pooosh" written out should make you cringe.

    Thats ****ing it.

I got a jump start from a redneck chic in a beater Camaro and headed home.

Called up old Devious, and now I have a Shorai on the way. http://www.shoraipower.com/

I use heated gear in the winter, and have neon ground effect lights, stereo system, and a fog machine I use while parked at bike night, so I opted for the
LFX18A1-BS12. It is heavier(2.12lbs) than the 14, and a bit more $$, but higher CCA. I want the piece of mind.

I'll follow up once it arrives tue-wed, but if anyone is interested in getting one, better contact Dev quick. Shorai is sold out and Dev is the only US dealer and has eleven 14's and only one 18 left. He says they are flying out the door. I wouldn't mention you are a member of the site. He might charge you extra..

JH, I have one. Or should I say had one. It was defective. I returned it and am waiting for a replacement. You will be amazed when you get it. Looks like a RC battery.
Ride with confidence. Not your ego.

It is always a good idea to know how to push start your speed triple on your own. I'm just sayin'...

    Re: Shorai

-i had one in the ducati, learned the hard way with use of a trickle charger, don't do it. its a good battery but....

I now use 8(eight) A123 Systems LiFepo4 lithium-ion cells in a plastic carrier wrapped in duct tape. 550g. they'll last a full year with no charge, 15min 12v/2amp charge is all that's required. Its rigged with a quick disconnect and I can put it my pocket if needed during a cold night, plug it in and go.

My speed triple has a normal, original Yusa battery and is constantly on a charge, no issues.
