What do you guys do ?

well see, you have to epoxy some steel plates in the tank to get the bag to stick
I feel mentally scarred after visiting the website in your signature. Yet I want to go back and take another look. What is wrong with me ?

what's wrong with the speed cripple? 'taint no different than this one (used to be)
Didn't say there was anything "wrong" with it.
But seriously what do you do on a multi-day, a couple K miles long trip ? Bring the can of chain-lube of choice with you and that thingy that Harbor Freight sells (so you can rotate the rear wheel while on the side stand) ? I'm contemplating a multi-day ride (never done that before) and don't want it to turn like that couple's story on ADVRider (ask Joe).

If you're riding with someone, you can get them to pivot the motorcycle up on the centre stand whilst you spin your wheel and apply your lubeto chain as it rotates.
If you are riding on your own one of those lift things would be a good thing.
I think Hockeyfan was making them, don't know if he got them into production though.![]()

If your trip is under 2 weeks and 10000km on paved roads, you don't really need to do anything (assuming you are running the DID chain with steel sprockets).
If you insist on faffing about with the lubes, pack one of the small spray bottles and lube the chain after 1st week of riding.

It's a pain in the arse but I've sprayed a bit, rolled the bike forward, sprayed a bit, rinse repeat til you're done. Ideally you do this at the end of the day and wipe off the excess in the morning.
