Amsoil Break-In OIL
I just signed the papers for a 2011 Speed Triple. I am thinking about using Asmoil SAE 30 Break-In oil. Good idea or not?

Bad idea. All Amsoil is synthetic, and you do NOT want to use a synthetic for break-in. It lubricates too well.
When you pick up the bike from the dealership it should already have break-in oil in it. You should probably ask if you aren't certain. It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask anyway exactly what oil they used. I recommend swapping out oil and filter at 600 miles with more break-in oil and not putting any synthetic oil in the thing until 1200 miles. However this is a subject on which there are volumes of argument.
Typically I use the cheapest over the counter 30 weight engine oil for break-in. It's only going to get about 600 miles on it (in my case) and be swapped out with the filter to remove all the particulates.
Whether or not Amsoil is worth the premium price is another argument entirely which I'm not going to get into.I will never forget you, although I try very much to do so on a daily basis.
My psychiatrist recommends medication. I'm not sure to which one of us he's referring to.

BTW, what kind of oil should I deep fry beer battered salmon with? I say peanut oil, but the health nazis say canola.I will never forget you, although I try very much to do so on a daily basis.
