I live close to a local track and was thinking of taking my bike , was wondering what to expect , ET wise ??
2007 Speed Triple , Roulette Green
all stock ( for now )

I though you were gonna talk about the time you raced your speed triple in drag.![]()

I'm gonna take mine to the track. Was about to run it last time I went but didn't have enough time. Only ran the truck. I think 10's should be easy to hit if you can ride.

Crash is the only one I know of on this site who has regularly dragged his bike. His was an 05 and IIRC his best times were in the order of 11.15

10's are NOT easy to hit. In the five years or so I raced it I had a best time of 11.2 and averaged about 11.5 @ 120 +/- MPH. You can figure low 7 second 1/8th mile times, which is respectable. This with CRM high mounts and Wayne's custom 20088 tune (Pre-Tune Of Death) and no other mods.
A 955i Daytona can hit high 10's. I think Dirty Sanchez's best time is a 10.8 @ 130 MPH with the forks strapped, a Jardine Slipon, and the "Massive Midrange" tune. No other mods. But it's a 2006 making close to 140 HP at the rear wheel.
The Speed Triple is great out of the hole, but not so good the further you have to go. I can take almost anyone at the 60 foot line, be even with the best at the 100 foot, and then be disappointed at the 1/4.
Now with a wheelie bar...
And a Nitrous shot after 2nd gear...![]()

I think 10's can be done. If a duc can do it so can we.

when I had the 954rr, I hit 10.9 with it couple of times. But i think speedy is little underpowered reach those times. You can launch it very well and even beat most bikes for a sort distange, but 1/4 mile is so long that it needs some peak power.
I think it could be really competitive at shorter distange. Or 20hp nitro shot would be good to have for the last 100metres.
I haven't tried speedy at the strip. But I have done some 150-200m or so launches side by side against 1000cc sport bikes, and I usually always can launch better and faster, mostly because speedy torque is easy to launch and first gear is so much shorter compared to 1000cc sport bikes that struggle to get the speed up to reach the power band, but after they reach it. it's over.
