This is a quick How-To on uploading pictures into your gallery and optionally sharing them in the available gallery categories.
You must be a registered user in order to use the image galleries, guest members or banned members are not able to post pictures. So, to start, make sure you're logged into the forum. (If you are logged in, you should see the "Welcome, ____" at the top of the screen).
Basic Picture Uploading
- First, go to the gallery area by clicking on the large "GALLERY" link at the top.
- To either view your current albums or add a new one, use the album links in the nav bar.
my-album-links.png- Click to add an album and give your album a title (and description if you want)
- Under "Album Type" you can either set this to Public or Private. "Public" means anyone you would typically allow to view your photos can see the contents of this album. That does not necessarily include guest users as you'll see a little later, but leaves your pictures open. "Private" on the other hand can only be viewed by people in your "buddy" list and moderators of the forum.
album-permissions.png- Save your changes, then on the following page click "Upload Pictures" found in the top right. A window will popup to allow you to upload your images. If you are running a popup blocker it may block this window, so you may need to turn that off. Click "Add Files" in the top right of this new window, then browse and upload your picture. Once the picture is uploaded you should see a thumbnail for it in the file upload manager.
picture-upload.png- Click "Done" in the bottom right corner. Your images should now be listed within the album, however they are not saved yet.
- At this point you can add a description to each image and optionally assign the image to one of the site picture gallery categories. Pictures assigned to one of those categories can be found in two places, weithin your personal gallery album, and within the gallery category found on the main category page. When you finished click "Save Changes" in the bottom left corner to save your gallery pictures.
picture-category.png- Your pictures should now be visible within your album and possibly one of the categories.

Additional Permissions
There are special permissions in your UserCP (Settings) area that also affect who can view your images. These are often forgotten and result in user not being able to view gallery pictures they otherwise think should be visible. To check those permissions do the following:That's all there is to it! ..
- Got to your usercp by clicking on "Settings" in the top right of the screen.
- In the left-hand menu of the usercp look in the section "My Settings" for "My Profile" and "Profile Privacy". Click on "Profile Privacy"
- On this page you'll find a list of areas of the site. In the middle of that list is "Albums". Change the dropdown box beside "Albums" to which ever permission set you want to apply for your "Public" permissions. Remember, by settings "Private" on a gallery album you can already limit the gallery to being viewed only by staff and your personal buddy list, so your settings here should be more available.
- Once you've made your changes be sure to click "Save" in the bottom left corner to apply your changes.

This is bullshit!
Click "Done" in the bottom right corner. Your images should now be listed within the album, however they are not saved yet.
At this point you can add a description to each image and optionally assign the image to one of the site picture gallery categories. Pictures assigned to one of those categories can be found in two places, weithin your personal gallery album, and within the gallery category found on the main category page. When you finished click "Save Changes" in the bottom left corner to save your gallery pictures.
I cant even get to this point I am still stuck in file upload manager. What you are describing is not what I see. There is a Home section with a bunch of thumbnails that I cant see in my album. Then underneath the home section is an attachment section that only displays the pics you have just uploaded and that is it. No save button none that bullshit. If you select all pics in home to be checked to be veiwed a pop up notifications says you must drag and drop attachments well when I drag the pics into the attachment section then you lose everything.
One thing is for sure,
If you click done ...It literally means your done, all pictures uploaded are lost.
This has got to be the most mickey mouse bullshit I have ever seen when it comes to social networks.
Seriously

Ok, I figured it out, Once you load the pictures they will show up in the file manager as thumbnails in the attachment section. (DO NOT CLICK DONE) because your not! Once you have the pics uploaded in the attachment section go to your album and then click "save changes". Then you can go to the file uploader and hit done and Viola! You gots pics!
Ok,
so how do you upload video's?
I still think its some Mickey Mouse Bullshit!![]()
