Lemme know next time you head out. I'll stop by and give you an "upper tanker". It's the gift that keeps on giving![]()
Will, I see you know about VA 160. Have you ridden it or just want to ride it? Minus the huge pointy boulders that make up the general landscape it's a great road.

i only know about it from your thread over on ncs.that's what made me ride hayter's gap. always looking for new roads to check out.
but va160 is gonna require an overnight stay of some sort. just too much riding for me to fit in one day.
I understand your point and I'd like to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
Will, C'mon up to the cabin next spring. It's a 400 mile round trip from there.....with no slabWe may even invite that Cheap character.
Ken knows his routes
It's a nice ride from 80 through Saltville and then onto 16 (16 in NC,VA,WV is a good ride). I've taken 16 up North and taken 10 in WV and enjoyed some loops off the New River Gorge area. So many nice little roads up there with very little traffic and enforcement. Beautiful State Parks and really nice private campgrounds. The area visitor center even had maps with numerous motorcycle routes.
I stayed at this place, exremely clean, friendly folks and cheap.
