Nice! Looks Great!! I did something similar with mine. I still have the stock cans though. Here in California we are required to have taillights, running lights, licens plate light, turn signals and a rear reflector. The integrated rear taillight's run about $90.00 and I got some LED lights for the plate. I stole one of the stick on reflectors from the old tail.
Here are the lights

Lulz at that plate mounting... What do you have it zip tied to? Looks good!![]()
I used the stock plate light- that's the knob hanging down from the undertail. Hardest thing was trying to drill a hole for it- I didn't have a drill bit large enough, and the local hardware store either had ones too small or too big. I used what I had and slowly made the hole big enough, it's a nice tight fit
Only thing I don't like about my current setup (besides still needing another coat of bondo) is that the light is a little TOO bright... It lights up the plate very well. And even though I've been told by friends following me that they can't read it, I want to find some way to dim that bulb and/ or find one that fits with a much lower wattage. I've thought about spraypainting the lens black, then lightly sanding just so light shines through.
She's getting completely tore down this winter, that will be part of it.

Also, what do you think about that windscreen? Worth it? Does it give you something decent to tuck behind above 100?

I had the stock Triump wind screen 2 S3's ago (2007, so the same thing) It was 99% useless. However, with these new headlights the pixie hat make the bike look a bit better, but I won't be getting one, I like as naked as possible.

yeah, I was referring mainly to the extention that they offer now...

You should probably fill that hole with something homie... (that's what she said)
But really... A bunch of road grime will get thrown up in there, water, etc...

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction.
