Has anyone tried this on a 2011? (Or earlier for that matter.) It looks like it replaces the dogbone that is at the bottom of the rear shock. I wouldn't mind loosing an inch or so. He has adjustable kick stands too.

Has anyone lowered the front forks? I'm not finding any spring kits or such for that.....
That's not what she said.Originally Posted by Ozzy Osbone

IMHO, reaching the ground is highly overrated. I can only touch both toes or get one foot down. Don't stop & it's not a problem.![]()

Those have been available for quite a while and I haven't heard anything bad about them. Still, even if you're a short ****er like Leeds with an inseam shorter than my condom size you should be able to get at least one foot down. One foot is all you need.
To quote Ettore Bugatti when asked why he didn't install better breaks on his race cars back in the 20's: "Because I make my cars to go, not to stop."

I'm 6' tall and can easily get one foot down or both if I'm on my toes. I thought that maybe a combination of the lowering kit in the rear and possibly the Triumph shallow seat I might be able to get both feet down. It looks like the bike is jacked up in the rear a little anyway, the lowering kit might just level it out.
The stock seat is actually pretty comfortable and you really sit in the bike. It is a more sportbike position than my old 2000 Speedy which had you sitting bolt upright. That's why the dealers called it the "Old man's sportbike". The problem I have is the footpegs dig into your calves when you stop on the 2011. Maybe I should steal some forward controls off of a Sportster. Or wear platform stripper shoes.

I know I'm going to hate myself like I do the morning after a cheap hooker binge, but I have to admit it;![]()

6' and you're on your toes? i'm 5'9" and get almost completely flat foot if i try. only 160 lbs, so I'm not compressing the suspension much, either. you must be sitting too far back on the seat when you stop. as others have said, flat-footing at stops is overrated.

Those guys are fags!
I've got the new 2011 model. I'm also a ****ing short arse! 5'8'' with a 31'' inside leg. I nearly bought the Street Triple 'coz it was kinder to my short, grossly stunted legs...but i didn't!
I fitted an after-market lowering link from Soupy's http://www.soupysperformance.com/cat...00/5257259.htm
It lowers the bike by a maximum of 1.25 inches. Had the front forks raised up through the stanchions by the same amount which is about the maximum you can pull them up. BRILLIANT. it handles just the same as standard. No problems for an ordinary rider like myself! I had the side stand lowered by an inch to compensate for the lower ground clearance of the frame.![]()

30" inseam. stock ride height.![]()
