    Unhappy Brembo caliper leak

Noiticed today that the righthand caliper is leaking on my new speed triple and dripped brake fluid onto the wheel (marking the paintwork). I removed the caliper and confirmed that outer lower piston has started to leak. this is a bit disappointing as I have only done 140 miles. Phoned my dealer and they submitted a claim (which was authorised by Triumph) straight away, that included a new wheel.
Just wondered whether anybody else has heard of these calipers leaking, I know seals and things can fail but never had it happen to me before on any of my previous bikes.

That being said, this may help, a few brake problems were talked about here: Really? Do you think I look that stupid?

Hopefully it's not a batch of bad plastic that was used on a series of resorvoirs for the bikes.

Triumphs are junk. Why did you buy one?

Sounds like a bad seal. Doubt its a major problem, just bad luck.

Well finally got the bike back today, the dealer have had it for a couple of weeks trying to sort the caliper leak. They initially tried to replace the caliper seals but that didn't work so they have had to fit a new caliper as it seems the casting was porous!

That's actually what I meant but for some reason I had master cylinder reservoir in my head in my first post. Hence the bad plastic instead of bad metal casting.

Again, I wonder how many more out there have that batch of cast?
