    Oil Pressure & Temp Guages

Being a former racer, I like to keep tabs on oil pressure and temp. I don't really like the "ignorance is bliss" style of the oil light.

Anybody tapped for the pressure and temp?

I figure for the pressure, I can just "T" into where the existing pickup is. Probably run a electric signal guage so I don't risk lay and oil slick down if the tube breaks.

Now, for the temp, probably gonna have to install a well for the probe to fit in. I'm thinking the pan would be the place for this. Maybe install the well in place of the drain plug?!? hmmmmm....

For guages, Jegs has 1-1/2" white faced guages. I can fab up a bracket and PC in flat black.

I'm gonna pursue this pretty heavily here in the next month or so.

While (Wile?) yer at it, make me some brackets to mount my gauges, so I can take 'em outta that hideous plastic monstrosity. Hmmm...gonna have to see if Jegs (or anybody) sells the cylindrical gauge housings only.

I've got my oil trouble light plugged into my LED strip, but I still need a temp sensor hooked up to the existing harness to clear out my CEL.

are you looking to get a temp input or just clear the CEL?

If you're just looking to clear the light, get a 200-400 Ohm resistor and make a little set up out of resin and 1/4" flat tab connectors to plug into and clear the light.
