Before buying I read that a grin accompanied every ride. Truth! Even though a gen 1 S3 1050, I love it! Even replaced sprag myself, $450 :-(. Love the sound, power delivery & style. Eyes lookin' erry day!

For sure. One thing I've always have loved, something it's maybe underrated for, is how easy the things are to work on. The early 1050's are such great bikes for tinkering too. Far and away more user friendly than my Duc that came after my first speed. Spark plug changes were by far the only thing that was easier to do on the Duc. Sprag replacement was a total ordeal!

By trade, I'm a helicopter mechanic. Grew up on a farm. Wrenched tractors, trucks, cars. @9600 miles , I shimmed my under bucket valves on the 96 ZX-7R. Nothing seemed different on performance after that. Still loud, as read on forums. Loved it, but love the S3 more! 20 year Kawasaki rider/owner backed. Just wanted something different, FOUND IT!

    Thanks Bud
Always liked the round light look but wanted the added safety of the ABS so I did the retro conversion to it, the bikini fairing does look a bit weird with the lights being so far back, tried to find a instrument backing plate to replace it but haven’t had any luck. 2015 speedy

first triumph -- acquired on 2015 w/ 4500 miles -- 3 years later 1 stator and bunch of carbon fiber added and 24000 miles on the clocks ...

she is a keeper ... besides scorched yellow is the fastest color of classic round eye speedies ...

Some pretty sweet looking early 1050's that obviously get used like they should. It never occurred to me to put a 955 rear on my 07', but have to admit I do dig the look of it over what the 05-07's came stock with.

next time the tires need replacing they will be coated gloosy black both front and back. i think it will give a great depth to that rear wheel.

Nice bike, the black wheels will definitely make it pop, great choice!
