I used a Tusk on my current Speed which seemed about like the Sunline on my old one. I'm now running a setup I feel is a best of both worlds between a direct shifter and the shorter throw of a linkage. For me at least, every little bit helps when it comes to getting across some of the wide spacing between the gears which is more than other bikes I've ridden. Total cost was about 90 bucks which consisted of two high quality helm joints ($60) and a new rod ($30). Well worth it!
