If you are looking to just bop around, the CRF250L is actually a nice little bike, and you can get them pretty cheap.
I have also test ridden the new CRF450L, it rips. Not a snarling KTM, but I liked it.

The Scrambler 1200 XE must be a big improvement on the 900

Holy fuk. Well that proves it. Triumph is just clearly a money laundering front

Sorry Bucket that should be in keeping with the very latest exclusive range of factory customs (AKA another money maker) or Triumph Fuc king C*#ts.

Joe just have a look at the current range all with the same 900 or 1200 motors, you'll find it's more than laundering more of a gouging. It is a really good business model and a fantastic way to sell the same basic bike in different guises, tuned de-tuned, all black or nice and shiny. Even the Street triple has 4 models in the "family". It's only the Speedy that is an only child in the modern range, but even then there have been a number of "updates". Don't get me wrong I love my Triumph's and have owned the original oil leaking high maintenance bikes through to the current modern bikes. If you want a mile munching Paris-Dakar off road type bike your not going to wheel the new Scrambler 1200 out of the showroom, but the KTM might get your money. If you want to don a dapper tweed jacket your stead could be anyone of the multi-bike range of modern classics. If you want to be on a liter plus bike, something which is a bit of a hooligan and you wouldn't look out of place in leathers or jeans then you only had one choice. Triumph had the market for classics and the modern naked, but now your expected to pay a premium for a range of bikes just for the name even if it isn't that good, it's still a Triumph. And yes I agree the new Scrambler looks very pretty if you like that kinda thing.
