Get a quick action throttle. You aren't giving it enough. If you dump it open in first, you should be sitting on your back in the street long before it hits the rev limiter.
Hi everybody. First of all my apologies for my school english.
Said that, here is my (stupid I know) questions.
I have a 2010 Speed Triple Special Edition, I bought it new, (now with Arrow slip on cans, Arrow tune map and a sprockets +2 teeth).
Nice bike, very smooth engine but I never have been able to point the front wheel to the sky.
Opening full throttle in first gear it only take off for 20cm or so before running out of rpm's. The only way is with a a quick open-close-open throttle.
In second gear no power wheelies at all. I tried with clutch but still, again, only a baby wheelie.
Is it me (I really hope) or maybe my S3 has some issue??
Hi, I see you are from Belluno, so you got the beatifull dolemities around the corner...lucky basterd.
Maybe elevation plays a role here: I know on sealevel my S3 wheelies easy, up at 2000m1 Its hard to do on throttle only..Whats the elevation where you live /test wheelying?
My speed triple doesnt wheelie either.......in 3rd gear......from 5mph......dumping the clutch at 1200rpm......lol
Did you leave anything out?? Like its extended 3 feet...or that it only running on 1 cylinder... im 265lbs and my weight can't even keep it down thats usually my advantage in a race lol
I live at 400 meters above sea level, I dont' think altitude is an issue, anyway at 2000 meters Speed became really lazy and smooooooth, but it's the lack of oxy, I know.
Mine will wheelie during acceleration when rolling into the throttle at the top of 1st gear. If I am in first and am aggressive with the right hand it stands straight up. 2nd gear will power and clutch wheelie as well. You gotta just go ffor it. I'm thinking mental block stopping you from riding like a hooligan.
" You have been banned for the following re Bye Bye Gay boy Date the ban will be lifted: Never P" sincerely T-rat
Mental block=you're a homo.
Power wheelie is easy. Get to 18-22 mph (29-36 kph). Once at that speed, give the throttle a good twist and the front end will lift. I got this tip from crash ( a big member here ) years ago. Works like a charm.
I cant do clutch ups.
