2007 Speed Triple, Black, 9k miles, lots of Carbon- SOLD

2007 Triumph Speed Triple 1050cc, Black with tons of Carbon Fiber. Bike has 9k miles, I am the original owner, I bought the bike in August of 2007 with 00000.0 miles. Bike is free and clear, so cash in my hand = title in your hand. Looking to get 7500

The bike will sell with alot of extras... first we'll cover the details of the bike.

    Parts:
Full Arrow 3 into 1 racing exhaust
    Triumph Carbon Fiber Flyscreen
    Custom Carbon Fiber seat cowl
    Triumph belly pan (black)
    Triumph Carbon Fiber heel guards
Aftermarket Carbon Fiber front and rear fenders
Aftermarket Carbon Fiber upper chain guard
Triumph "Fatbar" in gold (also have another one in black)
    Pazzo Shorty levers
Upgraded Nissin radial front master cylinder with billet aluminum reservior
Racetech front fork springs (180lbs with gear)
Racetech rear shock spring (180lbs with gear)
    K&N airfilter
Custom undertail with Daytona 675 Rear Taillight
    Silverstar headlight bulbs
    Battery Voltage Monitor

The following was powder coated black:
    Radiator cowls
    Engine bracket
GSXR rear passenger pegs (retrofit, looks great on this bike!)
    Lower chain guard

    Extras:
Bulldog single sided rear stand (reversible)
Tuneboy OBDII cable, key and software
    Triumph Black seat cowl
    Rear passenger grab bar kit

    Modifications:
Headlight wiring upgrade - The headlight wiring in this bike was too small of a guage to allow the proper amount of current to the headlights. Replacing the wiring from the fuse box to the bulb connectors netted a 30% increase in light output. All wires were soldered and shrink wrapped, original wires are tucked into the harness, so it can be reversed if need be)
Regulator upgrade - This one took a while to find all the parts and wiring harness pieces, but has been great! I upgraded the factory regulator to a Shindengen type shunted regulator, much more stable, doesnt overcharge! I built a custom wiring harness with weatherpak connectors and redid the wiring from the stator to the regulator and down to the engine ground, and battery. It looks better than the factory!)
Garage door opener - I built a small voltage regulator using a small project box and components from radio shack to knock 12v down to 3v, which most garage door openers work on.... I then chopped down and wired in the circuit card from my garage door opener and slid it into the box, and wired the box to the "flasher" switch of the left handlebar. It doesn't the best range, but it works, and it's way cheaper than the aftermarket alternatives!

    Maintenance:
Almost all of the maintenance was performed by me. All oil changes were done with 10W40 Mobil 1 4T oil in 3000 mile increments or less. Plugs are NGK CR9EKs. The entire rear swingarm was dissassembled during the winter of 2009 (8k miles on the bike at the time), cleaned and repacked with grease and torqued to spec, to include the rear hub assy, axles, pivot shaft, and all associated bearings and linkage. At the same time, during the fork spring install, the front end was dissassembled, new racing fork oil was used, and the front end was torqued to spec. The only maintenance not performed by me was the 2 year maint check done by the Triumph Dealer where they checked and reshimmed the valves. Tires were replaced at 7k miles, and are Bridgestone Battleax 016... they are awesome, no need to buy any other brand or model of tire!

    Blemishes

The only major blemish in the paint is a small chip in the top of the tank seen in this picture.

Somehow the carbon front fender got scratched up a bit on the right side... not sure how that happened. They're hard to see in the picture, but noticeable when you're washing the bike.

Looks like a cager tagged the right side engine cover with their door... I scratched some of it off with my thumbnail, tried rubbing a little wax on it... it may come off, I just gave up too quick on it.

Price is firm, with all the carbon, and extras, I think it's fair... I may part out the aftermarket stuff if the bike doesn't sell and reprice for stock. Someone needs to ride this thing, I just dont have the time.

    Thanks for looking,
    JD

That scuff on the right side engine cover looks like paint... put some acetone (nail polish remover) on a rag and it'll come right off. Just be sure to not let it sit for a while on the case, as soon as the white is off flush it with water.
Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity
