Another should I buy it thread? 07' 15k miles

I am considering checking out an '07 1050 for a good price, he is asking $3,500. My big reservation on it really is the miles, the bike currently has 15k, but I think KBB is around 4,700 for that bike so I would think that at ~35 it's priced accordingly? I have been doing some reading and these bikes seem to be very capable of packing on some serious miles.

Anything I should be worried about with that deal? It's got cosmetic upgrades, handlebars, levers, Arrow exhaust, so it's setup pretty sick already.

Looks like a fair price and hardly ridden which can be good or bad. I have an 07 with over 30,000 miles and get teased for not riding enough.

The biggest problem on these bikes is the charging system. Read up about it if you want more information. There's a great thread on TRAT about it.

If you have a sense for bikes, you should be able to tell if it's been well maintained or not.

    Otherwise, I'd go for it.

Thanks NT! Yeah this is obviously not my first bike, so I know what too look for in general when doing the test ride. My first Triumph yes, and I have always coveted the Triples!

I am strongly leaning towards checking it out, just looking for reassurance from the owners.

I would agree that this is probably a better deal and way more aftermarket good stuff.

The seller might be a complete scumbag quitter sellout, but don't let who he is as a person cast a negative light on that particular Triumph Speed triple 1050 motorcycle. It's solid, and has everything you want except a CRM exhaust.

So I called the dude before I went up and asked if there was any info I needed to know before heading out and wouldn’t you know “the bike had been down once, and has a check engine light on”....

    I guess the search continues.
