Yet another What To Look For

Greeting to you all I'm looking at buying a 2011 triple
I've always loved the look but dont really know a lot about them
I am 5'9" and run 275 plus gear
I like big grunt at lower rpm
I am a mildly aggresive street rider
I may take it drag racing but not road racing
I would appreciate any advice and things to look for that the collective can provide
    TIA
    Johnnie Phatt

Well, the Speedy is certainly a bit heavier than other bikes on the market but doesn't feel that way at speed. So it sounds like a thicc boy like you who enjoys going fast would be an ideal Speed Triple owner!

5’9” and 275 is more than thick.

No serious issues with a 2011. From what I understand the suspension and handling is better than the prior years. It’s the first year of new style. Some prior to 2008 have had some stator issues and other minor things. You should be in good shape with the 2011. You just don’t get the classic headlight bucket look.

Mildly aggressive is not crossing into on coming lanes in S bends even if I can see all the way though it
Not passing on double Lines when almost at the crest of a hill
Not doing wheelies on purpose on public highways.
Not even trying to drop a knee onto the pavement except at the race tracks.
    That sort of thing
I try to have as much fun as I can without ending up o a hospital if I get stopped I have a hope of talking my way out of it
