    Arrow High - Modified Baffles

So I love the look of the high pipes even though I know it adds a bit of weight up high where its not optimal. Doesn't matter that much to me as I'm not speed racer. Had the baffles out for a while. Sounds good but you lose a bit of the amazing triple "growl". Have had the baffles back in for some time now and you can certainly hear the growl, but I've decided I would like the sound levels somewhere between baffles and no baffles. So this weekend I'm going to remove them, and chop off about an inch at the front end of the baffles (closest to the handlebars). Has anyone else tried anything like this?

Yes, I used Arrow baffles with slightly larger inner diameter and ended up cutting the complete inner pipe off.

So in effect I just have reducer pieces at the end of the cans now.

I would guesstimate the sound level is now roughly at the halfway point you are looking for.

Experiment away. Arrow sells new ones and any welder can weld the inner pipe back if you don't like the results.

Will tackle this when I can. Probably this week sometime. Turkey day got in the way along with a large honey-do list. At least the x-mas light are up now along with the tree. Would have done it today but I have to work. Fecking HATE basketball and we have a b-ball double header today. BOOOOOOOOOO!

Going a different route altogether. Hoping I don't regret not. Selling the Arrows and going with a Compwerkes. Plan on running with the baffle in. It's always been my favorite look.

All done. New tune dumped in. (Arrow single low for now.) Took her out for a couple miles. Sounds good. Still loud with the baffle in but not unbearable. Will do my usual commute tomorrow and see how she does.

No worries, looks great. I think I'll pull the trigger on one after the holidays. Then tune it and sell my arrows.

    Hello...
I have a 2015 R with the high arrows and also experimented with taking the baffles out. Do you know if you need a different fueling map if you leave the baffles out?
I know triumph load a new map when changing from stock to arrow in the first place, but I have never known if you need a different map after removing the baffles. Most the info I have found relates to the single 3 to 1.
    Thanks for any help..
