    Rear shocks?

Anybody replace their rear shock on 99-01 S3? Can’t find many decent options other than HyperPro & Ohlins....thx

Haven’t gone there yet but I have been looking at Wilbers and Nitron. Not cheap!

I put an Ohlins on my '06, still going strong unlike the stock shock that started going away after a year.

Yea none of them are cheap especially ohlins & they’re overkill unless you’re racing. I had a Fox shock when I road raced years ago but doesn’t look like they’re in that market anymore. Thx!

I’ve a 2001 speed triple and have just purchased a Nitron R3 rear shock and Suspension R Us in Melbourne Australia are putting Nitron cartridges in front forks.
Suspension upgrade cost more than the bike but what the hell.
Bike had done 65,000 kms on original units so was bit harsh on my rear.
Should all be back together in few weeks.
I’ll report back when it’s on the road.
