    The remaining question is what rider weight are the settings in the manual designed for?

    The tester for Sport Rider magazine was Kent Kunitsugu, a Japanese American who weighs probably 150lbs or less with gear, so you have to factor that into their recommendations.

    Like you stated you have the winter to figure things out, have fun and happy holidays!

    P.S. I find the S3R to be a great bike.

    You need to set sag for your weight or you are not going to get the best results.
