Back on-topic, I haven't ridden the 848, but the 1098 Streetfighter S was flickable and hoisted the wheel effortlessly. After riding my father's Street Triple, I'd say the Streetfighter is a bit heavier, sits taller, and more forward, agile with a more 'planted' feel. The Street Triple is like riding a bicycle by comparison, crazy lightweight, flicks around like a bicycle, hoists wheelies beautifully in the higher rpms in 1st, and probably gets better fuel economy than the 848.

It's honestly a toss-up and comes down to which sound and riding position you prefer. I didn't buy a Streetfighter because the seat tilted forward, throwing my balls into the tank, and the position of the bars was somewhere between a Speed Triple and a superbike. Not very comfortable compared to the Street Triple. I'd say get the 848 for track and canyons. Street Triple if you want a good around town 'does it all really well' kind of bike. The Street's only downside is it's light weight lets it get blown around by the wind really easily, which can be hell on long road trips. Otherwise, it's a fantastic machine.

Coming soon -> '69 Daytona and '69 Bonnie... Might start up a Brit Iron Rebels group in NWOH.

I think he said he doesn't ride it anymore because his Diavel is more
