The official debut is on June 28 or June 29, depending on your dealership.

But I get to test-ride one about a week before that. ;)

I test rode some ducs when the duc truck was in west hartford ct. I rode the air-cooled ds motor in the monster 1000 and I think the 1100 in the multistrada. Boring motors compaired to speedy. The s4r was booked all day, so I didn't get a ride on that. Ducs with the aircooled motor are yesterdays motors, 2 valves, low compression are fun but not super exciting. I always thought a 749 powered monster would rule back roads, put an updated version of that in the hypermo-tard and thing would get interesting.

The 1098 is LOUD. I haven't had any performance parts on it and it sounds like a friggin' muscle car STOCK. Not only that, but the handling is stupid-sharp. I just nudge the bars and it flicks around. I can dodge crap in the road at the last minute pretty effortlessly. If that Hypermoto handles anything like this, I'd have a hard time NOT recommending it. I love my new Duc, but I'll always ride Triumph as well.

That bike is cool. Although, I'd have to lose that silly looking fairing thing in the front in favor of a pair of mig lights.

I luv it. Except for that front end. I dont like the mini-KTM-motard's front end either. What are these guys thinking?? The new (potential) Aprilia supermotard has a nice front end (see Motorcyclist July issue).
