Looks like a neat idea, but I don't see how it could possibly offer better braking. It seems to me that even with the 360* piston (and added pad/rotor contact patch), the leverage advantage w/ a conventional brake system would be too much to overcome.

If these work, it would be a big plus for weight loss (rotational and unsprung anyways.)

+1 My guess is that brake fade would be a real problem, not much venting going on there. I guess it would work for a parade/show bike or something, but I like my brakes as large and as cool as I can get them. It does do a nice job of showing off wheels.

I think one of them was the old Honda VTR 250. I remember them having a peculiar braking system and even more peculiar colors like pastel aqua and pink on white and black. Gotta love the eighties.
