[Texas Boy]

Hi,

I just was informed by my dealer that two of the carbon fiber parts I have ordered are on back order. These are all Triumph parts - rear tire hugger and front fender. Also the gold larger handlebars are back ordered. I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting these parts?

Does anyone know who else makes these parts? My S3 is an 2007 model.

Triumph does the "back ordered" song and dance regularly. Some accessories stay this way for quite a while. The larger bars have been this way since the new catalog came out.

It might not do you any good Texas Boy, but Jack Trebor Triumph in Ledgewood, NJ has both the Carbon Fiber Hugger and the Carbon Fiber Cush Drive cover in stock - just saw 'em with my own two eyes today. Sorry, but I think I just bought their last CF Chain Guard (put it on my bike an hour ago). They also have the Black Anodized Radiator Cowls and the Black Anodized Heel Guards.

And the best part... (drum roll, please)... they are having a "March Madness" "Employee Pricing" sale until Saturday - the prices are basically wholesale and as good as your gonna get anywhere!!! (Example: the CF Chain Gaurd lists for $89, I paid $70) Maybe you could order by phone and have them ship it to you???

Well, maybe. But as far as shipping goes.. Carbon Fiber is really light. Ground shipping is cheap and at least some of the parts Texas Boy wants are in stock there.

I tried to order the Black oversized bars today. was told they are not available. I think its typical of what Triumph does.

Don't blame Triumph.....its the dealers that are not carrying stock. If Jack Trebor has got them why haven't the others?

You'r better off ordering another set of bars as the Triumph ones wont arrive any time soon. There are tons of people waiting for them. I suggest you check out the Rizoma Conical bars on www.rizoma.com. They look awesome, you'll just need a pair of new bar clamps aswell.

It took Triumph over a year to get the rear splash guard ready to sell - even though it had been in the accessories catalog when the 2005 S3 came out. Why would the bars and risers be any different. :violent1:

It's a real shame they do that. Why put it in the catalogue if you don't have any to sell for over a year. If i buy a pair of Rizoma's I damn sure won't be getting a pair of triumph bars. opcorn:

Has anyone tried ordering these parts from Jack Lilley? Maybe in the UK they have a better parts supply. If the part is in stock they ship it. I ordered a carbon hugger from them and received it in 7 days. The price was competitive too, even with shipping.

My bike is starting to come together. My carbon fiber has come in (except for the fly screen). So far, I have added: carbon fiber radiator cover, front fender, rear huggar, and tank protector. I decided not to wait on the over sized bars from Triumph, but I put on a pair of Rizoma's. I also put the handle bar risers, hand grips, hydrolic brake reservior, and mirrors. Everything looks great! My wheels have been powered coated blue (matches the spring on rear shock and the blue in the Arror header logo). I was hoping to pick the bike up this weekend, but my dealer wasn't done installing and tuning in the maps for the header. So I should have it tomorrow.

Anyhow, I am very anxious to get it.
