Bumping this dusty old thread. Looking for opinions as I have this exhaust coming in a week. What tune is required for it, TORS?
Welcome aboard :drink:, I'd say with a name like gonzojournalist I reckon you and crashmasterd will have some interesting exchanges. He's the resident philosopher / social commentator / political activist among other things. ;D Just when his posts beginning to wonder about him, he'll go and post something REALLY inteligent.

LOL! Sadly I haven't had much time as of late to get philosophical, perhaps coming in here will be motivational in that regard. ;) I'll make a proper thread, introducing myself and my new beauty in just a moment.

As for the exhaust, the bike I have is essentially a stock 04' 955i with a new Barracuda high-mount coming soon. If the TORS will work well enough than I'll see if the local dealer will flash my ECM. I was really quite set on a ZARD exhaust as the 1050 I originally was going to buy had one and it sounded VERY nice; however the Barracuda exhaust is coming at a very good price (NIB) from the previous owner of my bike so I couldn't pass it up.

Thanks guys,
-Kris

Kris,
You might want to eventually consider get a Tuneboy key and borrowing a cable. There are several good tunes available for your bike with aftermarket exhausts. The difference between the TORS tune and a good TuneBoy one is noticeable.

Welcome!

Interesting, does the TuneBoy work like the DynoJet PowerCommander in the sense that it requires a unit to always be attached to the bike (ala' piggyback) or is it a flasher tool only to change the tune on the ECU's ROM like Triumph does at the dealers?
