Met dr_gallup yesterday (Sunday) for a two-Triumph-Triple ride...weather couldn't have been better, we found some gorgeous twisty roads to ride in the NC mountains (see BRP, NC215, US276, NC209, NC63, NC151 for reference), and made the sweet the sound of multiple triples in concert!
I think we got his tires scrubbed in...

I'll put up some pics a bit later!

Here are some pics:

Overlooking Looking Glass Rock from the BRP:

Same overlook, Fryingpan Mountain in the background (look at that road!)

Two Triumphs basking in the morning sun...

A quick break to let the tool driving the big-ass dually get up the road:

It would be hard to ask for better riding!

It was a perfect day, I got in 275 miles. I allowed more time than necessary on the way to our rendezvous so I took an extra run down & up 178 through Rocky Bottom. I was still 10 minutes early when I pulled into our meeting place but Fred was already there. We checked out each others bikes and headed up 215 which is familiar territory for me. Then N on the BRP & 276. After that we were in Fred's stomping grounds and it was all new roads to me. Check out this link to 209 & 63, those are some great roads.

2 Speedies blipping their throttles in a tunnel makes a great tune.
