Got off my lazy ass and pulled the air box to adjust the throttle cable. What a difference that made. Any way, while I had the air box off, I disconnected the turn signals and pulled off the radiator cowls to paint them black. Also did the heat shields on the cans (while I wait for the Bob to modify the Chains mid pipe). Got it all back together and happy as hell cause it turned out good. That's when I noticed the bellypan. It's broke around the left rear fastener. I know I didn't over-tighten it and nothings hit it. perhaps there was a stress fracture in the cheap-ass plastic they used and the vibrations took care of the rest. Right now just pissed trying to figure out what I'm going to do. Don't want to spring $250 for a new one. Was thinking about just using a dremel for now and cutting out around it to make it look presentable; or seeing what an auto body shop would charge to repair it. Might go with the second route cause I want to get the rear hugger painted to match. Thoughts?

Thought about that, but I didn't get it from the dealer, ordered the bellypan, flyscreen, and seat cowl from Greatbay Triumph in December and put it on myself.

What kind of paint are you going to use? Are you going to clear-coat it?
Thanks,

I used Duplicolor primer and enamel paint, semi gloss. No clear coat. It ended up with a finish almost identical to the frame. Figure I'll see how well it holds up, and if it goes to shit, the shop next door at work just got powder coating capabilities.

Yeah cheap, it pisses me off, I aint even scraped mine, so I don't know what the fuck happened.
