Hands down, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, and another band (can't remember).

Zombie stole the show. Excel Energy Center in Madison, WI actually moving as he started Thunderkiss '65. Unbelievable! :pow:
I dig classic Brit rock. Led Zepp would have been the ultimate. Last year we got Roger Waters and Alan Parsons over here. Maybe just maybe Bob Plant next summer.
Well, not a rock concert, but the best I've ever seen was Common with a live band. :afro:
G
Pink Floyd!
Jethro Tull, Lynryd Skynryd,SAHB,Uriah Heep,Snowy White

Though, living on the IOW it's too easy - The Who,David Bowie,REM,Coldplay,Snow Patrol,Brian Ferry, Steve Harley,Procol Harem etc........
I enjoyed Pink Floyd and Kiss - impressive stage shows and theatrics.

But seeing ZZ Top in a VERY small bar in Charlotte, NC was the best concert I have ever seen. It was a very informal, personal experience.
Devious.....arrrgh. I have always wanted to see ZZ no matter the venue, but that would have been sweet!
That's the only group I have ever stood in line for and they sold out way before I even had a chance.

Along similar lines, I got to see 3 Doors Down a couple of years ago at a small place in TX, maybe 400 people in attendance and they played like there were 40,000. Great guys, got to speak with them afterwards, like you said, very personal. Pound for pound, I'd say it was the most enjoyable concert I have been to.

I've seen AC/DC twice and they put on a great show both times, would love to go again.
hey milq, I got to see 3 doors down with lynyrd skynrd last year, and man what a show! 3 doors down put on a great show. Believe it or not, one of my favorite one's from all time was Charlie Daniel's Band. I got to see them at a local club many years ago.
I am a veteran of nearly 100 concerts - mostly rock concerts in the late eighties/early nineties. AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Dokken, etc. etc.

But the best concert I've been to was hands down the Depeche Mode (yeah, you read right) concert I attended with a German girlfriend while stationed in Europe in the early 90's. I wasn't even a fan but the way that stadium (Munich's Olympic Hall) rocked that night was unbelievable! I've never seen such fan participation - even in the nosebleeds! I saw U2's Zooropia (or whatever it was called) there too and it was kinda the same thing.

Figures the best concerts I've ever been to were for bands I didn't even listen to regularly. Did I mention all the hot chicks at those 2 concerts. That might have had something to do with my highly favorable overall experience.
I've only been to a few, as bands just aren't that motivated to come up here. The best was ZZ Top though.

On a side note, I have a DVD of the "Monsters of Rock" tour. Pantera opens for Metallica opens for AC/DC. If there, I would have passed out at least 7 times. There was something on the order of a million people there (Moscow.) Neat.
I have also been to a DM concert. FUCK!NG ROCKED..............
Peter Gabriel. He always brings good visual/theatrical interest to his performances.

Biggest pleasant surprise: Peter Frampton. Never much of a fan of his, but I got to see him perform at a small club a few years back and he put on a heck of a show.

Local fave: Miss Molly and the Whips. No longer performing as such, but she had great blues pipes and tons of attitude. Liked to flirt with the guys in her audience too. ;)
Anyone going to see the POLICE.......I can't wait...
I was at the Chilli Peppers concert last night, it’s the 3rd time I've seen them, the 1st time was in London at the Astoria, 20 years ago awesome!!!! I think Anthony was not at his best last night, the rest of the guy’s were 110% :twofinger: :twofinger: :twofinger: :twofinger:

I saw Frampton a couple of years ago with 'Journey'. No Steve Perry, but a good singing look-alike.

Interesting show all in all.
One of my most memorable concerts was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and J Geils at the Cape Cod Colosseum in 1978. Another good one was Rhode Island Blues Fest, with Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal, Paul Butterfield, Purple Blotter, etc. :wtf:
311, Beastie Boys, Everclear, Primus,Helmet, Zombie, and because my wife is Irish the Cranberries. I have seen so many shows that I lost count. 311 and Primus still put on the best show that I have seen in a long time. Wish I was born in a different era and could have seen the greats like Zeplin, Floyd and the greatest Arena Rock Band of All Time KISS.
1978- Madison Square Garden Van Halen opening up for Black Sabbath
The Who-(Five Times in `79 and `80 or`81)
1980- Nasau Coliseum Pink Floyd The Wall (The Original 3 times. They only did this show in N.Y. and L.A.)
A ton of other shows, but those three stick out.

Oh Yeah,Robin Trower!
Ok it's not a rock concert, but I'm excited as hell to go see Blue Man Group Monday! ;D
