Hi All,

I'm looking to order a set of Chain Reaction pipes.

I was planning to ceramic coat the header and mid pipe, is it worth it? What are the advantages of ceramic coating (other than looks)?

Also, how difficult is it to remove the headers and install the CR pipes?

Thanks,
JG

The header isn't too bad to remove, I just removed the mounting bolts for the radiator and oil cooler and was able to get it done. If I remember right it took me about an hour and a half to remove the exhaust and install my Arrow 3-1. It is a little interesting to get the header clear of the bike, but it can be done.

And if you felt so inclined, removing the radiator would make it a piece of cake.

The ceramic coating keeps the heat in the header/exhaust and out of the intake - off your legs - at low speeds. It is a noticeable improvement.

It also cleans up the look of the exhaust and makes it simple to keep clean.
