Sold my 2005 Bandito 1200s.
Bought a minty 2000 speed triple.

I have lots of questions - I'll post them in the forum.

So far since I got it two weeks ago - based loosely on what I had on my Bandito- this is what I've added to the S3:

1. Laminar Lip
2. Bags Connection gas cap mounted tank bag
3. Warm n' Safe Heat Troller for Warm n' Safe gear
4. Helmet mounted wireless brake light
5. Rear hugger
6. SW Mototech Center Stand

Next, when I can I'm adding:

1. SkyKing sliders - part 16 and 116

Questions about adding things I have had on my Bandit:

1. Motolights - they were caliper mounted - may cause problem on S3???
2. Sargent or Corbin seat
3. Hub cover
4. Scott's lifetime micronic oil filter
5. K & N
6. Headlight modulator - had Kriss

wassup mate? I'm everywhere! ;D Ya still might git some smart ass answers from me on this site too. ;D
Interesting list...... Sounds like an iron butta...

how many miles do you do in a year?
G
Usually 15 to 20 miles year. I like to keep the bike new. Riding it would wear it out.

Welcome smart ass. ;D

OK. OK. Just kidding. I was on the TriumpRat.net forums and all I got were smart-ass answers so I figured that was the way to go. I asked a lot of real questions and got crappy answers.

So - I'm not riding that much. Just about 4,000 miles per year. I just like to be comfortable. I guess you will all make fun of that too.

I'll -probably end up a Sprint rider eventually... what can I tell ya. I'm 42.

;D now that's good shit. ;D
G
thank you!

Last night when I was installing my heat-troller (which I used today) and battery tender I saw that there was a fluid resevoir under the seat that looks empty... is it supposed to be?

Well- - Ordered my clear alternatives LED tail light kit today with turn signal kit separately.

Waiting for my hugger.

Still not sure about whether or not to put Motolights on again on this bike. Expensive.
get the Corbin seat, sargent is nice dont get me wrong but the corbin is great.

the empty res is the coolant overflow, id check your levels.

I'd go one further and suggest you flush the cooling system unless you are absolutely sure it was done last year....

She'll appreciate it!

Welcome!

It's having the 12k mile servicing done next week at Rockwells in Ft. Montgomery NY. So that should cover it - given how much they charge, right? :)

Is it just me - or is this forum on a bad server? There's this odd lag in typing.. very 80's in style.

No lag here. Might be at your end. :-\

Personally I've never had a problem on either of my Macs on any network, BUT when using a very old and slow PC at a friends house I've had the same problem. My iBook works just fine with his DSL connection, but that nasty old 250 MhZ AMD with 256 megs of ram and Windblows 98 has issues. He did it only to prove he could, and because his new Dell was stolen.

;D Just some thoughts...
G
But I'm using a Powerbook g4 with a gig of ram and a dsl connection... and it is the ONLY forum on the Net that does this (for me)
Are you using Safari, Firefox, or Internet Exploder?

Note: I use both a Dual 2.5 gHz G5 desktop (3 Gigs of RAM) on a cable modem, and a 1.24 gHz G4 iBook (1 Gig of RAM) wirelessly through a DSL connection- Both running Tiger and using Safari as the main browser. No problems.
