When I ride through town my front brakes squeak like mad. I usually ride with ear plugs but tonight I just needed gas and didn't wear them and wow do my brakes squeak. But when I am riding at higher speeds and the brakes heat up they quit squeaking. Any one got a fix for me?

Clean'em real good. Helps a little, or at least changes the pitch of the squeel ;D. My brakes started to make noise after my brakes were fixed, but they work so damn good I don't care.

You can also apply an anti-squeal compound to the back of the pads. I haven't had a huge amount of success with it myself but have heard from others that it can work OK.

Speedy1050 is right. The squeal is caused by a very high frequency vibration.....you can fix it cheaply by putting a smear of high melting point grease on the back of the pads where they contact the pistons. Use only a very very small quantity and make sure you dont get it on any other parts. Will definitely stop the pad squeal.
