The main reason I think Ducatis are pretty neat is that you can add bits that open them up and make them look like complicated clocks. The dry clutch and cam gears can openly spin and I really like the inner workings of the bike showing.

Can we get the same type of look with the 1080 Speed Triple? I haven't seen it done and haven't looked into the motor enough to see if it could look as intricate.

No. Chain driven cams on Triple vs. belt driven on Duc. Wet clutch on Triple vs. dry rattlers on Ducati. Weren't they supposed to finally move to wet clutches though as not many people like the grabby feel of the the dry?

You can always add a belt driven supercharger on a Triple, if you like to see belts whirring away.

I prefer engine parts hidden away from random road crap as much as possible. Don't see anything good coming out of unnecessarily exposing them to the elements.
