Mine went staright back on too. My problem was the wire gasket that holds the Zard slip on fell apart as I put it on....

Agreed. You probably are going to hate me, but I replaced mine with the old used gaskets and a layer of high-temp RTV, and it has never leaked not even a little...just lucky, I guess.
