Selling my 1982 Yamaha 650 Maxim. Located in south Florida.
It looks a lot like this one, except for chrome fenders.
I've had this bike since 1983, bought from the dealer with about 2000 miles on it. Now has a little under 23K.
In-line four, four Hitachi carbs, 5-speed, shaft drive.
It sat in my garage for 14+ years, before I pulled it out, cleaned it up, and put it back on the road.
Rebuilt carbs, rebuilt forks re-upholstered seat, new tank emblems, MAC 4-into-1 exhaust, New (less than 1k miles) Dunlop tires, rebuilt master cylinder, rebuilt caliper, new pads, new axle bearings. Has about 2000 miles since I started riding it again.
It would make a great first bike for somebody. Nice, low seat, 5 speed, shaft drive, self-canceling turn signals. Willing to deal, and willing to deliver ;D
Still have the bike. Haven't pushed to sell it, as its been a fixture in the family for the past 24 years. I Take it out once or twice a month, otherwise it stays in the garage. I've decided it's not fair to the bike for it to just sit in the garage. Looking for ANY reasonable offer.
