Hi, just trying to decide on what exhaust I'm going to get for my S3 when I get the last of the cash saved up and I'm interested in the full Arrow system. If I really like it I might push the dealer for a good price with the bike when I get it. Anyway I was wondering if anyone around Brisbane has one or even better if anyone knows if a dealer has one fitted to a shop bike.

Go for a Zard. Cheaper sounds better. Has the option of DB killer in or out and if you go for slip on can be converted back in 5 mins.

Thanks for the advice. I'd be very keen to hear the Zard in person. I'm just a bit worried it has a slightly whistley or chirpey note to it. The custom underseat (MV rip off) exhaust I had made for my '02 seemed to sound very similar and it got a bit annoying after a while. I'm chasing a quite mellow, deep, bassy type of note. Don't really like the raspy sound others go for or the popping on overrun. I also love the look of the Arrow to be honest.

The other option I'm seriously considering is just having the stock cans gutted and a standard perforated core with fibreglass packing added.

The third option I've thought of is bodging a set of those gorgeous new Akropovic hexagonal carbon jobs into place. Not sure how the bike would run with them though.

I guess I should wait until I actually get the bike though.... ;-)

I would go with the slip on Zard and modify your existing header.From the posts I've seen you will end up with better results than a full aftermarket system.You will save some money too.Do a search and compare dyno charts.I'm pretty sure the info is out there.I was surprised.

Do you mean the Triumph carbon off road pipe? I had one of those on my Sprint ST and it sounded pretty good.

I'd say the Zard minus baffle sounds like a cross between an big angry barking dog and an old ww2 Spitfire. Heaven. Go for it.
I,m running the latest TORS map and all is well no popping. Its a shame cos I like the popping.
I'm waiting for a set of headers enroute from the US which i'm gonna get that silly inner pipe out of. Fit it and see how the TORS runs. If its OK i'll grid out the internal bore as Dev has shown on earlier threads.
When I get my hands on a cheap Laptop I'm hoping to get a Tuneboy to finish the job off.
I guess its slowly slowly catchy Monkey !!

Thanks again for all the comment Monkey Hanger and everyone else. I'll get my bike ordered then I'll just have to try to get to hear as many different systems as I can and make my mind up. There's a local company here in Brisbane that I had make an exhaust for my ST back in 2000 and it sounded fantastic. So many options and I'm sure none of them are bad. Buckets system looks brilliant too. Have you done any dyno runs with yours before and after Bucket?
