I've been experiencing a loss in low end power for about 3.5 month now(i live in phoenix), and today my boss suggested that it might be the summer heat and how the air is thinner at higher temps. Would anybody agree that it's a possability?
How has everybody's bike been running in the east?

Not only possible, probable. Physics actually. Colder air is denser air. Same with air at lower altitudes. With that, there are more O2 molecules available for combustion. I've always noticed an increase in performance as the temp dips.

The old rule of thumb is that for each 10* F in increased heat pullinto the engine, you lose 1% power.

It works the other way as well. If you wrap the headers and block the heat from the radiator from entering the air box, each 10 degrees lost gives you 1% MORE power.

I hope this helps.
