G'day mates.

Most of you have at least heard of the Durrani Racing wheels that will soon be available for the S3. I may have a chance to have a set (mine, of course!) done in any color or even a multi color scheme. Knowing that there are a bunch of very imaginative blokes and blokettes out there, I thought I'd pimp ya'll for ideas.

I've posted the picture of the standard colors and my blue S3. Here's some questions I'd love to get answers to:

1. Can anyone do a Photoshopish deal and put the White Durranis on my bike?
2. Of the STOCK colors, which would you choose? I'm leaning toward White, but what about blue? How about Gold?
3. If you could have any color on earth, what would it be? (With the blue bike)
4. If you could custom paint them, what would you do? (one thought: Blue wheels, paint the inset portion of the spokes white, and paint red stripes on the ridges of the spokes on either side of the the inset portion so it would be like the Union Jack. Too wild?)
5. Any ideas for a custom scheme for the whole bike that could tie in with some custom deal on the wheels?

Here's a chance to live you're custom bike fantacy vicariously through me.

I'd just paint the bike black and have done with it. :fingure:

Or get the white wheels with a blue hub with blue fading into the spokes, not to the edge, about half way.
I think the siver would look pretty good if it's not too highly polished. It would lighten up the look of the bike, and would look good with your exhaust, heel guards and radiator shrouds.

Don't listen to the black faction. Blue is by far the best color... 8)
Hmmmm......blue fade to white? Interesting....

I now have black rearsets. I'll never bow to the ALL black set, but black wheels...maybe.

But I like the gold too. It matches the forks. Then change the name sticker to one of Briank's gold diamond plate stikers, some other gold on blue stuff.....?

Keep the ideas commin'.

How about red spokes, black rim, red stripe on the lip?

Yum, black and gold, classic JPS racing colors. How can ya go wrong.
Oldsquid! Check your PM's. I'll get that check in the mail today, I just wanted to know if shipping to Alaska would be tons more.

I'm for color matched blue or black.
color match blue, possible, silver maybe, Id stick with contrasting black. its a sweet look.
If I could afford the Durrani's (which I cannot), I would no doubt go for the gold ones on my own blue S3. It would undoubtedly be over-the-top pimpalicious, but then if I had your opportunity, I would get the outer rims done black, leaving the centers gold. Mmmm, mm! :afro: :afro:
Yeah, gold was my first thought. Only reason I hesitate is because I keep thinking I'm going to paint the thing one of these days. My all time favorite color is canary (burn your eyeballs) yellow. I soooo want to do something with that. I figure white would work with that, but then so would gold. I might go with a red bike too. Gold would work with that too. CRAP! What to do?

:squid:
Black would look good with any of the colors that you've mentioned. White might look a little too much like the late '80s early '90s (not good). Silver would probably hold up though.
i know the perfect color scheme...you'll love it!...but i can't tell ya unless you send me a free set of CRMS ;D
Black hubs and spokes, red rim, whitewall tires oh my! If they made sport tires in a whitewall, I would get them and go for a naked bobber look. Sounds weird, but I promise I could pull it off. Bobbers are the one non sportbike ride I like. Can you picture a chopped up, bobbed out rocket? :jerkoff:
I love bobbers. My dream is to build a replica of my dad's. There are pictures of it on my site chainreactionmoto.com under the Company History.

But a Rocket!?!?! That's just too bloody much motorcycle for a bobber.

Besides, this is about me here! Stay on task Kansas!

I know that a rocket is kinda big and that goes against the idea of a bobber, but I was talkin' about just using the engine/shaft drive, I think the longitudinal triple would look awesome in a bobber STYLED machine.

I am not a :squid: :twofinger:
The :squid: is me. Like my signature. As in "oldsquid"

I meant no offense.

:squid: (<me) :pow:
I was just pokin' at ya little! No offense taken.

You make the prettiest, best sounding twin can for the S3! :pow: :smiley-asskiss:

I want a header! Cut me a CB 'esque deal on one and I won't ever be offended by you again!
