I have an XD as well, .357 SIG. Great little cartridge with plenty of power, I am about to do some hand reloads to see what results I can get.
My main recreational shooter is a Springfield 1911 operator, early model with full length light rail (similar to TRP operator). Mods include: Chip McCormick grip safety, Wilson combat tapered barrel, Wilson trigger, all Wolf springs, hand fitted slide, etc. Really trick gun and eats virtually any ammo I throw at it. I'll check out xdtalk.

Milq - your Springfield sounds a lot like my ParaOrdinance P14. I have sweet spot for 1911s. I have a few Sigs and others, but 1911s seem to breed in my collection. I also have a fairly large antique firearms collection and a collection of battle rifles - new and antique.
I originally got into machine work due to gunsmithing - a long family tradition. My grandfather and great grandfather were gunsmiths in Butte, MT.
I like engines - my bigest hobbie. (In case it wasn't obvious)
I spend a lot of time playing with boats. I raced outboards. My brother also builds custom boats http://www.rpmpowerboats.com/
No kids, just four Golden Retrievers.

when I'm not riding... I'm either at work, or spending time with the fam. Sure, some of ya may think that sounds boring, but not until you've lived a day of my life. Never a dull moment with my 2 kids. :violent1: ;D Just signed my son up fer tee-ball yesterday. Watch out major league, here he comes. ;D
