They are as loud as you'll prolly want to go. You wont hear the Duc riding next to you. :eek:wned: I love mine.
they do sound great, I've heard Limey's. The only thing I know of that's a bit louder is me Zard! ;D
How about that beastie on 1050POME's. I think it was his it was one of the sunshine coast blokes.

There's one low fit pipe up there, one old squid and my reverse cones.

We really should have that sound off guys.

1050Pome has the oldsquids, ya may be talk'n about Bucket and his new exhaust.
Hey cheap I think you're right. Shit did I really say that??

I might have Alzheimers, but at least I don't have Alzheimers.

heheheh, I have a friend with a db meter. I wrapped my Harley with Sampson Ripsaws in his driveway. 139.6 at 3 feet away. I had fire coming out the end of the pipes and his daughter ran for the house. :tongue2:

I'm abnoxiously loud.
if ya really want somin' loud take the cans right off :smitty: it sounds like an angry pit bull :eek:wned:

Buckets exhaust is prob the best I've ever seen. A little too much $$ for a slip-on IMO.

Hell ya, had to fire it up when I took the cans off last week, made me smile quite a bit!

I've just had the Oldsquids installed and they are not only L O U D but sound f%#@n awesome!!! I could not be happier (thanks Limey) a mate of mine jumped on and gave it a blast up the street I heard him two blocks away! When it starts growling at higher revs under load a F1 sounds tame

I also noticed that cages now notice me and PULL OVER can you believe it.

Go with squids you can't go wrong the clip is not a scratch on the surface mate 8)

Paint, powdercoat, or ceramic???

I had the header and midpipe ceramic coated the only coating that will withstand the heat. I also finished off the mufflers by coating the ends and the rivet heads. I think it looks super cool now :shocker:

I think there is no other pipe that looks so good on Speedy but the sound is just stunning :drink: :drink:

I still want to do some more mods Old :squid: suggested I do the muffler brackets in anodised blue, does anybody have pics of this ?

There's a guy in Highlands Ranch, CO that did or does have a 1050 triple with no silencer. I think it's just got a exhaust tip right at the o2 sensor. I only saw it moving, but that thing made my ears bleed from a distance.

I must be getting old, because I can't ride without hearing protection anymore.

According to my HOA (who I believe) my bike violates a 90 dB noise limit prior to 8:00 am, as measured at the property line. The letter read "excessive reving of unmuffled engines in pre-dawn hours" (or something like that). I wrote a letter back that said "every good gear head knows you don't rev a cold motor".
The baffles blew out of this in the quiet Gold coast hinterland one day.
Cows died.
It set off car alarms in George St Sydney one day with baffles in.

I know it bats for the other side but it was fun.

Hey FS, where about in Gauteng are you from?

I'm originally from SA, moved to Australia about 10yrs ago. My parents still live in the northern suburbs of Joburg.

I don't envy you riding on the Joburg roads, with the taxis and all...
