Hi to All!

Just about to buy me a 2003 Speed Triple! having just sold my Aprilia Caponord ETV1000.

The bikes Green, 3900 miles with all the trimmings. Is there anything I should know or be looking for?

I would think all would be ok at this mileage but its best to ask!

Alo before I commit to this bike, does anyone have a low mile machine for sale? budget is 4K

Nice to meet you all

Welcome!

At 3,900 miles the bike you're looking at is barely run-in yet. You might want to check the normal maintenance items: check tire wear, then clutch, throttle cables and chain (those three might need cleaning/lubing) and perhaps flush the coolant and change the oil to be on the safe side. Triumph makes pretty solid bikes, and they're just about as close to gas-and-go as anything else you can buy these days.

I bet you'll be very happy with the bike. IMHO, the 955/1050 triple is just about the ideal street motor, and when combined with the Speed Triple's good handling and ergonomics you've arguably got the best all-rounder available.

Thanks Scratch.

I was hoping that would be the case. I think its a really good value bike.

2003 Mint Condition, All standard + Rad cowells :: 3800GBP.... bargain.

I have sourced a New belly pan for 30quid which I need to get sprayed up to finish her off. Then all I need is a givi rack and thats my lot!

can't wait :afro:

A guy rang me today about my speed triple which is for sale. He noticed all the mods in the advertisement, and asked me why I had done all the mods......ahh.....I realised that I did not have an answer. A couple of minutes later it dawned on me that The SpeedTriple.com made me do it. :eboy:
