My 19 ST RS was flooded in Hurricane Ida...parked in a structure that took on river water, more than 20' deep; the ST was at the bottom of it.

Has anyone dealt with insurance for a similar issue?

Is there a chance that the bike is salvageable?

Never dealt with a flooded bike but I wouldn't touch a flooded car with a 10' pole. I'd ship it out of state and sell it to some rube.

If it were a valuable only a few bikes in the world left kinda bike salvaging would be logical…but I guess on a bike like this its much simpler and safer to get your hands on another…

just think of all electronics that might need replacing (dash, ecu, sensors, injection, lights, battery) apart from the engine rebuild… I guess basically the bike has to be disassembled completely, all parts checked and replaced if needed and reassembled… the hours to do all work…. it must be an economic total loss
