Yeah cheap, its the older slow model.... I decided to go with it instead of a newer one out of respect. I figure since I'm younger and better looking that I should at least let you have one thing to boost your self esteem.

I have to agree in a lot of ways the T509 was one of the better looking Speed Triples.

However, I rode with a guy on one who kept telling me about all his modifications and how fast it was. He dumped a lot of money into that thing.

Still wasn't as fast as my 1050. :eek:wned:

Nice bike Papes. Pity about the color...

(See Sig)

Yes Papes - it's running just fine thanks!
Still waiting for my pipe, but a local guy loaned me an OEM for now till it gets here

I didn't really want to post up any pics till the final bits are on but here she is with the behemoth OEM pipe on board (Damn, is that thing monstrous or what? Weighs a ton too ........)
Headers will be ceramic coated too.
Still looking for late model radiator but the wee T509 is controlling temp fine for now.

Just got the Lucifer orange 1997 T509 to hang out with my roulette green 2000 955i ! Man the garage looks vibrant! Here's to another opinion that the pre-2005 speed triples are the best looking and fast enough BTW !

the bike on the right is exactly the one I saw and fell in love with back in 2003... that color, that exhaust... so much sex. I still have her, she's down in Florida right now at my Dad's place though. Never gonna sell.
