For those of you who have seen this thread you know I didn't get off to the best of starts this year, well it got worse. All that stuff was actually not that big a deal, I was having fun of sorts.

Rolling speedy down out of the trailer today, not over the saddle, I somehow lost the balance point. It may have been a good gust, it had blown my helmet off the tail, but the bike fell over onto the lift cable for the tail ramp. The tank looks like I hit it with a buffer with 20 grit paper on it. Gouged the paint all over the place on the right side. My fiance came in the door this evening and said "I guess I had a better day than you did" She saw it putting her F2 away and thought I'd gone down. (no dents, just paint damage, all the way to metal in a couple of spots and to primer all over the place. (I'll post pics tomorrow)

I'd thought about trying to get a Union flag thing done but decided that the blue won't look good with it. I think I may get a pair of wide racing stripes on the tank, fly screen, and tail to match my Shoei Kagayama

I'll have the only Thruxton speedy around.

Anyway, I'm looking for a place to get the paint to match the stock blue from '02 so I can get it re-painted.

On the plus side, I put the new chin on this afternoon, but I'm not really happy cause I cant see it for all the gouges in the tank.

That SUX like a moderator in orbit!

Check the local paint shops. Some have books that they use to match the paint code.

The paint codes are on the Triumph site. I believe there is a link in the Factory forum.

Thanks guys...

As a side note, when I bought that Shoei those looking on agreed that the speedy may be the only bike in the world that it acutally matches.

Just found out my Zard slipon was shipped yesterday.

Devi, I know you've said you'd like to see some dyno info on this pipe, I'll see if I can get a friend to make a dyno run before and after and after with the TOR tune. I'm not sure I can get it done but I'll ask.

I would love to see before and after graphs if you can get it done. :pow:

What a cable will do if you drop it on the ramp (I think the pics are too big for the site, tried the {img} command and didn;t work) If you click the arrows in the album you can see a couple of pics of the damage, and at the end there is a shot of my helmet sitting on the seat, if I didn't know better I'd think that helmet was made to go with blue speedys.

edit: Devi, I just got an e-mail back, I think I'll be able to get the runs on the dyno. I'm off to go sailing for the next few weeks, I'll should be able to get it done after I get back. It'll probably be 3 weeks or so.
