I recently purchased a new 2020 ST RS. I really like the bike so far.
I am wanting to remove the passenger pegs to clean up the back end.
Can I just buy new bolts (probably shorter one's) and replace the hardware after removing the passenger pegs/hangers?
If yes, then please tell me what size bolts (screws) I would need.
I think I need M8 x 12mm or M8 x 16mm bolts along with M8 washers.

Can anyone confirm this? thanks

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have read on another Triumph forum about the bolts and bolt sizes but I can't find the post. I may just end up buying a few stainless bolts of both sizes and see which is best.
What type of plastic plugs did you use? Where did you find something like that to actually fit the hole?

I took a bolt with me and went to Lowes. They have a drawers of various plastic plugs and clips in the hardware section. They fit very nicely and have been in for 15 years.

I understand.
I think a nice button head (allen head) screw will look nice in the holes left after removing the passenger pegs.
I think I have found a good source for exactly what I am looking for.
