Cheers all! I just completed a prototype for a replacement exhaust I hope to market. I've attached a couple low res shots and would be happy to send more/better ones to anyone who is interested. Its a muffler and mid pipe replacement and it works awesome (if I do say so myself). I'd love to hear from anyone with any feedback and/or interest. I think it will probably sell for around $850.00. Thanks, Bob

AAAHHH yes.....the noise. :) I mentioned this elsewhere, but just in case, I'll repeat it here.

I tried to get as much feedback as possible because it IS a lot louder than stock--but then, what isn't? Its the price you pay for lots more dial-a-smile! And besides, is there any better sound in the world than an uncorked 1050? I think NOT!! The typical reaction to the sound was a stupid grin followed by some form of "That's SWEET! (or BITCHEN!, depending on the age of the listener)." Its not obtrusive at cruising speed, just enough to remind you that your the man (or woman, as the case may be). I've already decided I'll have to come up with a removable db softener but that's no biggie.

With regard to performance, I let 2 mechanic friends ride it twice, once stock, and once w/ the new pipe, both agreed that it was WAY better. If anyone buys one and doesn't agree, I'll eat my Arai--or refund your money, including shipping--well, let's just go with the refund, I really like my Arai.

Having said that, I think I've decided to just make all the pipes myself. It'll take longer, but get to control things that way. So if anyone is serious about a purchase, let's talk.

That is a very nice looking system and I applaud your creative fabrication skills.

A couple of questions:
- What do you figure this system will cost?
- Do you have any dyno figures? It looks like you have added at least two 90 degree bends, does this hurt flow/performance?
- Are there any sound files available?

Took the liberty of posting for Bob

Cheers Mates!

With the help of some very savvy ratsters I've worked out the bugs on the exhaust and should be shipping theirs around the end of this week or first of the next.

So if anyone else wants to dive in, the price is $850 + shipping. I have a web site now at www.chainreactionmoto.com. There are pictures there as well.

I can be reached through this email or I have one for the site as well [email protected].

I really, REALLY hope to hear from you!

Bob
