Hi just became the proud owner of a very clean 03 triple 955i
The guy I got it from stuck a new battery in and now it’s showing engine management light plus lo oil pressure

I know there’s a 3 stage warming the engine up reset

which I will try when the snow stops here inNorthern Ireland

but the lo oil pressure would changing the battery be effecting this or is this another issue

Changing the battery should not set any codes. I don't think low oil pressure will set a code but could be wrong, I've got a 1050 which has a completely different engine management system. I would address the low oil pressure immediately as you could be doing serious damage if you run it with low pressure. You may just need to top the oil up. If that doesn't fix it I would change the filter and oil and take a close look at both for any metallic bits.

I’ve ordered the correct oil n filter
God knows what the other owner has put in it
Also is there any way of checking the oil pressure sensor ?

The service manual only shows how to replace it. You could check and clean the electrical connector.

I might take it out n replace the washers give it a clean

hardly think the battery needs disconnected
Just do it with the ignition off

The other thing is you know no owners happy until they do they’re own service so
I’ll get that sorted then the big hammers comin out for that sensor 😂
