Non-radial brakes? Stupid pixie hat fly-screen? That exhaust looks like it has big 'ol cat in the midpipe. Looks like a good little bike, I'll take speedy over it, nuthing like cubes.

Look close at the brake lines - same routing as one the S3.

I don't think there is a radiator cowl, just a black radiator.

The wheels look very light, but a BUNCH or 675 Daytona riders just ordered Durrani wheels, so I don't know.

To me it does look ass-heavy with those cans, but on the whole not bad.

As for radial brakes:  Really they are more of a fashion statement than anything else.  Nobody has proven even in theory that they work any better than so-called regular calipers.

This is essentially Triumph's bargain basement entry level sportbike.  Radial calipers are expensive, so it makes sense not to use them.  They're only trying to keep the price down, and I expect the braking performance is still very very good.

For example those look like the same calipers that were on my Speed Four, and that thing stopped like Hell's Wedding Bells.  This bike should also be even lighter than the S4!

Yah - for me, but the wife, if I can just convince her to wait...two Trumpys in the garage - priceless.

I think it looks pretty good. I was waiting to see if Triumph was going to release this in the spring, and when they didn't, I went for the 1050 instead. I'm interested to see how it actually performs, I'd guess that they had to seriously detune the motor to keep it from being quicker than the 1050. There's a lot to be said for a light weight good handling chassis though, and that's what I was interested in. Hopefully they didn't turn it into a gutless turd.

If the two, Speed and Street, sat next to each other in the showroom I'd still buy speedy. Now, if I had to buy my girl a bike, that would be a nice pick. The exhaust needs to be ceramic coated black and a cf can or CR would clean up the look.

Oh, and it's not hard to lead in the middleweight class. Just my 2 cent.
