You’ve seen the light but still a shit stirrer.

As I’ve seasoned, I’ve realized my energy could be better spent on other things than trying to convince a bunch of whiney libtards that less government is better for ones life and liberty. Right now it’s their world and I’m just living in it.

What goes well with oxycontin? View attachment 44307
Damn Doc! More surgery huh? I found some good scotch and a bag of weed helped me through the dog bites I suffered last year. Heal up fast old man.

They don't like you mixing alcohol with the oxy but I did have a wee bit of rye last night before I took any. But the pain, swelling and stiffness is 10 times worse today and tomorrow is supposed to be the peak, then it should get better. So looks like I'll be on the oxy for awhile. I do have some ditch weed around here some place.

Assuming I have a good outcome from this knee replacement I plan on doing the other one after new years so by spring I can ride pain free. That's the plan anyways. Got one last ride up to the Blue Ridge Parkway on Sunday. That's my old '83 VF750F that my buddy is riding. Been riding together since '84. They would not let me take ibuprofen for 5 days before the surgery so that was one painful ride but hit all the high points of a successful ride: broke the ton, rode some wheelies and dragged my boots on the pavement on both sides many times. Such good roads!

Those look very familiar, was one of them peach?

Today I was introduced to some primo S & N Carolina roads and also to the items in the picture below by a local member of TST. Life's good.

Rehab is going much better than expected. Felt good enough today to go out to the truck to get my walking sticks so I can ditch the walker. Stopped taking the Oxy yesterday so can make a big old martini before dinner tonight.

Good to hear Doc. You’ll be snow skiing in no time! That 83 Honda is sweeeeeet. Keep up the rehab.

3 week anniversary. Walking without a cane, hauled out 150' of hose to water some plants, doing my own shopping and driving. Pretty pleased with recovery so far. Back to pre-surgery range of motion.

Home Healthcare released me yesterday with a perfect score. Moving back downstairs into the master bedroom suite today. Carrying armloads of stuff up and down. Putting all my "trip hazard" throw rugs back down. Living dangerously LOL. Will have to do it all over again in a few months for the right knee.
Sounds like you’ll be back to twerking and pole dancing in no time!

Nice Doc, good to hear you are coming along.
All my friends who have had knee replacements wonder why they waited so long.
I’m gonna have to get one done soonish.
For decades the ortho's kept telling me I was too young, that I had to wait. Then I switched doctors and the new one said I need two ASAP. Next one in January.

We had a record high yesterday & I got Stella out for the first time since the surgery. Only had time for a 20 mile blast around the neighborhood but the new knee felt great.

My understanding is that they usually can‘t do a knee replacement more than once as they have to remove too much bone.
The “life“ of the replacement is improving all the time and they are just guessing how long current models will last and won’t really know until they start to fail.
Basically they want the knee to outlast the rest of you. :)
