I just zip-tied them up behind, considering making a small hiding plate, but you really can't see it anyway

Finished mine tonight also. Still have to add the LED tag light. I guess a rainey day is good for something. :jerkit: Saved ~$65 and only spent about 20 manhours on it. I'm happy with it though. Plenty of room for the tire. Time for more :beer:!

Yes it is lineX. tire clears by 6-7".

APtech - be carefull.
I made a custom mount like yours, but with the tag light hidden up in the fender/ducktail, and no turn signals. It definitely makes contact with the tire when going over RR tracks as any decent speed (lots of fun), and on some roads with rises and drops.

The first time, I mounted it with nylon bolts just in case it made contact. The first RR track and I had to turn around and go back for the bent up tag. Oops! ;D

how do you like that new bonneville FEK? i know it says not dot approved any trouble with inspection or any trouble with the law, seeing as the plate is tucked way under the tail? i've been thinking about getting that same kit. can't find anything else that looks as nice.

I think its great, never had any trouble with the law but I guess that depends on how your local police dept feel about it. The rear led light is very bright and the intergrated turn signals are very noticeable. The mounting brackets can and wireing can be made very easily if yer into that, but on the whole I have no regrets, one of my favorite mods. We don't have inspections in FL.
